Official: Liquid announces ultimate addition
Liquid have unveiled their first player addition, Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak. Liquid are set to gamble on the youngster who is a newcomer to the world of tier-one CS.
In the 20-year-old's career he was only played one S-tier LAN, ESL Pro League Season 15, almost two years ago with AGO. Since then, ultimate has only played a single LAN, the Polish Leo Gaming Cup, with Turów Zgorzelec. While he has been plying his trade in the European scene for some time, it has likewise been at a lower level with Israeli organization NOM and Illuminar.
At this level online ultimate has managed a strong 1.17 rating on the AWP over the course of 71 maps against a smorgasbord of European subtop and tier-three teams.
As such, all eyes will be on ultimate and by extension Liquid to determine whether the player will turn out to be a true hidden gem or another costly experiment for Liquid akin to earlier gambles on Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov and Robert "Patsi" Isyanov.
