Report: FURIA to sign American as new analyst
FURIA is finally getting just a little international as they are in hot pursuit of American Hunter "Lucid" Tucker as their new analyst, multiple sources have told Dust2.us and Dust2 Brasil. The former Liquid and FaZe analyst will now join his third major organization as he continues his career in the background of some of the best teams across the globe.
Lucid spent almost seven months working with Liquid in 2022 as the organization challenged themselves on the world stage before taking a quick pitstop as the coach for Party Astronauts. The American had to step down from the demands of coaching PA due to a family illness, but was able to secure a role within FaZe as an analyst.
Following the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major, Lucid would depart the FaZe organization and has been teamless ever since. However, that should change shortly, as the tactician is expected to join FURIA in the coming days.
The addition of Lucid to FURIA follows comments by the organization that they were searching for more international influence in their Counter-Strike division. It was quickly realized that finding a Portuguese-speaking international coach was a much more ambitious endeavor than first thought. However signing the American does fulfill part of that vision.
FURIA has also been looking to retool their roster as they have pursued Liquid's Felipe "skullz" Medeiros. The rifle has been in the sights of the Brazilian org for some weeks now and the move appears to inch closer and closer as the upcoming EWC roster lock comes.
FURIA is expected to be:
-
Yuri "yuurih" Boian
-
Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
-
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
-
Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
-
Felipe "skullz" Medeiros
-
Sid "sidde" Macedo (Coach)
-
Hunter "Lucid" Tucker (Analyst)
