Akimbo lose three

Three departures may have spelled the end for the Akimbo roster.

On June 24th, Taggert "taggy" Baker announced that Akimbo had been reduced to just two players following the departures of Max "alula" Schreier, Wyatt "Weeza" Sahrmann, and Halen "Halen" Lang from the team's ranks. Prior to their departures, the team finished ESEA Advanced Season 49 in 9th-12th place following elimination at the hands of Strife in the third round of the lower bracket.

taggy told Dust2.us that his former teammates left the squad for a variety of reasons, with Weeza electing to explore his options for next season, Halen electing to play next season with regain, and alula stepping away from the game temporarily due to other commitments.

With Akimbo shedding so many pieces, taggy said that the goal was to initially rebuild, however at this point in the off season it is more likely he and Andrew "Drew" Warkentin find new teams rather than rebuilding their old squad almost entirely from scratch.

Akimbo are now reduced to:

  • United States Andrew "Drew" Warkentin

  • United States Taggert "taggy" Baker
