Strife lineup jumps to French organization Homyno
On June 29th, French organization Homyno acquired Strife's Counter-Strike 2 roster, seeing the organization return to the Counter-Strike scene the first time since 2022 while also making a pivot towards the French Canadian scene.
Homyno is a French organization based in Creil, a small Commune about 30 miles away from Paris in the North of France. After being founded in 2018 they initially entered esports as a bootcamp and content creation facility before branching out to hosting teams in CS, Fortnite, and Rocket League, among others. Their presence in the French CS subtop is somewhat muted, with the team's sole squad having a relatively uneventful tenure from April 2022 to November 2022 while featuring players unfamiliar to all but the most committed French CS fans.
However, David "J0LZ" Jolin says the organization will be able to offer the team support as they aim to find their way into ESL Challenger League after missing out on a stop for next season in a heartbreaking fashion. With the signing of the Strife quartet, Homyno are still looking for a fifth as Brandon "YuZ" Cyr stepped down from the team recently on June 16th.
Homyno are now:
-
David "J0LZ" Jolin
-
Cedric "Melio" Perrault
-
Gabriel "tENSKI" Rodrigue
-
Gabriel "Gabie" Cordeiro
At the time of publication Homyno just won their first event under the French org as they won LAN ETS 2024 in Montreal, beating a FLUFFY AIMERS mixteam 2-0 in the finals.
