Media: skullz signs for FURIA
Last week, Dust2 Brasil reported that FURIA and Liquid were in negotiations with moving young player Felipe "skullz" Medeiros to the Brazilian side. According to a new report by Jairo "Foxer" Junior of Game Arena, those talks have concluded with skullz signing for Brazil's biggest team.
Kayke "kye" Bertolucci, who was benched earlier this month, will depart the roster to make room for skullz. skullz joining the team was only half of the reported changes for the squad, with a new coach coming in to replace guerri, who will move into a more managerial role within the organization. The current front runner for the new skipper is reportedly FURIA's assistant coach, Sid "sidde" Macedo.
FURIA will debut their new roster on LAN at the Esports World Cup 2024 in Riyadh, which begins on July 17th.
With this move, FURIA's roster coming into the second half of 2024 is expected to be:
-
Yuri "yuurih" Boian
-
Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
-
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
-
Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
-
Felipe "skullz" Medeiros
The departure of skullz from Liquid will see the North American organization reduced to three players, with Casper "cadiaN" Møller being benched on June 17th.
