Bad New Bears and Triumph set to field stand-ins in ESEA Fall Cash Cup 2
For ESEA Fall Cash Cup 2, Bad News Bears are set to play with Triumph player Brendan "Bwills" Williams as they continue to look for a long-term replacement for Jonathan "Jonji" Carey. With Bwills playing for Bad News Bears this weekend, Triumph have brought in Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly while Zack "XotiC" Elshani is also set to play in place of Nicholas "hate" Young.
Bad News Bears' coach Nathan "madcow" Retterath told Dust2.us that Bwills is standing-in for the team this weekend and is not being considered for a permanent spot on the team.
Bwills was likely chosen for his ability to easily slot into the team as he previously played under Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman for six months while having also briefly played with Paytyn "junior" Johnson last year during DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 North America.
The situation in the Triumph camp is far more complicated with Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk telling Dust2.us that the team is currently evaluating their options for next season and nothing is currently set in stone roster-wise. The decision to field nosraC and XotiC sees the ChocoCheck duo reunite with cxzi after they played together on Rebirth and ChocoCheck at the start of the year.
The two lineups will be:
Bad News Bears | Triumph |
