M80 start strong, Mythic eliminated after Round 2 of ECL Playoffs
We can now officially add Mythic and LAG to the departure list as the two sides were eliminated in the second round of matches in the North American ESL Challenger League Season 47 playoffs. Elsewhere, Wildcard and M80 came away with their opening round wins as the two sides vie for spots at the next edition of ESL Pro League.
Two of the best teams in league, M80 and Nouns, squared off last night with the former coming away with a dominant 2-0 win. Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa was easily the best player on the server as he helped his North American and German squad to crush Nouns 13-4 on their opponents map pick of Mirage and then cruise to a 13-9 win on Vertigo to seal the match.

Next up is Party Astronauts and Wildcard, where Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's crew were simply unstoppable as they held Justin "FaNg" Coakley and his new squad at bay. Wildcard stole away PA's pick of Nuke 13-8 to start the match before crushing their opponents 13-5 on Dust2.

NRG stayed alive last night in a tight affair with LAG, despite the 2-0 scoreline. Josh "oSee" Ohm's 45 kills and 1.32 HLTV Rating led the way for his side, however Luka "based" S. was simply the standout performer despite the loss. NRG came away with a 13-10 win on LAG's pick of Ancient and then secured another 13-10 win to seal the deal on Mirage. NRG are now going to have to face a tough opponent tonight in Party Astronauts.

Finally, we bid adieu to Mythic as they fall to Elevate 1-2. The streaming squad pulled off a solid CT-side to begin Anubis, but it was their T-side that powered them to a 13-9 win and series advantage. However, Elevate quickly rebounded with a 13-9 win on Mirage and then crushed Mythic's hopes and dreams with a 13-3 pounding on Ancient where Mythic failed to get a single T-side round in the first half.
