M80 down and out of Dallas
Well, this event could have gone better for North American fans. M80, following Complexity, have now been eliminated from IEM Dallas 2024 leaving Liquid as the sole representative of the region to remain alive. The squad struggled to get things going against HEROIC as they would ultimately fall 2-0 while they put up just a bit of a fight.
Ancient was a difficult match for the North American squad as they struggled to get their offense going. It was an awkward beginning as both sides traded rounds and then quickly devolved as M80 never got a good control over their economy.
With only four rounds to show for their efforts, it was a mountain to climb back up as M80 also struggled to hold off HEROIC's offense. Despite a potential comeback opportunity, the door was shut and M80 lost their own map pick.
Mirage went just as poorly as HEORIC's offense overwhelmed the North Americans and they were only able to earn four rounds when defending. M80's offense had some promise, but it was hurt twice by losing to eco rounds which was the equivalent of shooting themselves in the foot as it prevented them from converting the comeback as they lose 13-9 and are out of IEM Dallas on Day 2 of the competition.
