Wildcard lose Chinese upcomer; Grizz steps in on trial
Dust2.us has confirmed that Qihao "C4LLM3SU3" Su has stepped down from Wildcard after being conspicuously absent during the team's match last night against Limitless in ESL Challenger League Season 47. According to Wildcard's manager, Jeremy "Jeremy900" Gray, C4LLM3SU3 ended his trial with Wildcard to return to China for a family matter, bringing an unfortunate end to the 20 -year-old prospect's first season of ECL.
In C4LLM3SU3's place, Wildcard have added former Party Astronauts player Adam "Grizz" Golden on trial, marking the player's return to action almost four months after his last appearance.
C4LLM3SU3's return to China for the time being is an anticlimactic end to the player's rapid rise through the NA scene, which came after C4LLM3SU3 posted a number of strong performances online and at Fragadelphia CS/DO in the first months of the year. According to Jeremy9000, C4LLM3SU3 is potentially set to return to the United States in August although he will need to find a new home in the NA scene.
Grizz's return to activity comes after spending five months looking for a new team after the end of his tenure with Party Astronauts in November 2023. Outside of a few qualifier runs with mixteams, Grizz has largely been inactive. Despite this, there is seemingly little ring rust as Grizz dominated in his debut with Wildcard against Limitless last night, posting 1.43 and 1.50 ratings in close 13-10 and 16-12 wins.
Wildcard are now:
-
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz
-
Josh "JBa" Barutt
-
Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan
-
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
-
Adam "Grizz" Golden (Trial)
-
João "horvy" Horvath (Coach)
Wildcard's next outing will be against MIGHT tonight at 08:00PM.
