Media: Stewie's stand-in period with Legacy coming to an end
Dust2 Brasil is reporting this morning that Legacy has finally found their new permanent fifth which will end Jacky "Stewie2k" Yip's time with the Brazilian squad.
Legacy are looking to sign Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco from W7M as their new permanent replacement in the starting lineup. He is expected to join up with the squad in the United States subject to visa approval. Roque Marques is reporting that that the approval should take place in the coming weeks.
Stewie2k initially joined up with Legacy in the wake of Marcelo "coldzera" David's departure following the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major. He will continue to play for the squad in their ESEA Advanced campaign and any other tournaments until saadzin is able to join up with his future teammates in Texas.
Legacy was the first real team environment that Stewie2k joined since his departure from Evil Geniuses in 2022. The rifler has had a storied career so at 26 years old with highlights including a Major win with Cloud9 in 2018 and an Intel Grand Slam win in 2019 with Liquid.
The American has helped his Brazilian teammates to an 8-0 season so far in ESEA Advanced where they stand on top of the league so far.
