AGO decimate Ghost Academy; to Global Challenge Grand Final
The series started on Train, which was picked by Ghost Academy — and surprisingly so, since it is AGO's best map. The Poles showcased this fact by winning 13 rounds in a row on their Counter-Terrorist side, only stopping due to a 1v1 clutch by Jason "neptune" Tran. Ghost would follow this round up with one more, closing out the half facing a 13-2 deficit.
The second pistol of the map again saw neptune in a 1v1, though he over-aggressed and lost the attempt. From here, AGO quickly got up to 16-2, securing the first map.
Moving onto Overpass, AGO again started off strong, winning the first five rounds before Ghost Academy got on the board. The Poles were not to be deterred, as they immediately reset the North Americans. The half would again end 13-2 in AGO's favor.
In the second half, Ghost Academy put would manage to put three more rounds on the board before AGO closed out the map, and the series.
With the result, AGO will now go on to face Space Soldiers in an all-European Grand Final. That match will take place tomorrow at 10 AM EST. Following that, ESL Pro League Relegation will commence, though Ghost Academy will not be participating by virtue of their fourth place finish in the league.
