Brazilian squad earns CQ invite for NA EWC qualifiers
The Esports World Cup has announced the invited for the upcoming regional Closed Qualifiers, with two invites going out for each region. North America will be hosting the Open Qualifier next week with the closed qualifier to immediately follow.
Each region will send one representative to the upcoming Esports World Cup. The winner of the North American competition will join Complexity in Riyadh later this summer.
Following a move to North America, along with the addition of former Cloud9 star Jake "Stewie2K" Yip, Legacy has been named as one of the two teams to skip the open qualifiers. They will be joined by M80 who have been consistently one of the best domestic squads from North America in the last few months.
Legacy have long planned the move to North America, making the arrival to the region not unexpected. The team has also entered ESEA Advanced where they are currently 2-0 so far in the regular season.
North America will see the Open Qualifiers for the event begin on April 16th through April 17th, with the Closed Qualifiers to take place in the two days immediately after.
