FURIA complete 0-2 comeback; advance to Elimination Stage
The PGL Major Copenhagen has been very kind to Brazilian teams, except for FURIA, who found themselves on the brink of elimination after losing twice on the first day. FURIA managed to survive and have now qualified for the next stage of the Major after a win against SAW.
With this win, FURIA have secured a seventh spot for the Americas region in the next major, in Shanghai.
The series started off on Vertigo, with SAW electing to start on the T-side. This would prove unfruitful, as FURIA would put together nine rounds in that half against three from the Portuguese. During the second half, the game was more balanced, but the Brazilians' attack was enough to claim the 13-7 win.
Ancient followed, with SAW once again starting on the T-side. On the back of an amazing CT-side half from Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, FURIA guaranteed an 8-4 lead at halftime, with just five rounds separating them from qualifying for the next stage. SAW would go on to win three CT-side rounds, as FURIA claimed the 13-7 win on Ancient.
The Elimination Stage starts tomorrow, with FURIA taking on G2, back in the BO1 series.
