FURIA find their footing
FURIA were down and out at the Major having gone down 0-2 against two teams that several had imagined would be eliminated 0-3 in this stage of the Major. Legacy and Lynn Vision weren't supposed to be as good as they were against the Brazilians, but they proved to be a solid spoiler.
However, with backs against the wall, FURIA were able to find their strength and defeated KOI 2-0 to stay alive in the competition.
Starting the series off on FURIA's pick of Overpass, everything just went the Brazilians way. They were absolutely dominating KOI right out of the gate on their own T-side. KOI provided some resistance, but it was not anything significant as the Brazilians went right ahead and claimed a 10-2 half.
While the CT-side for FURIA was a little trickier, they were able to get enough rounds to bring home the win. Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato claimed it in style as he lobbed a nade up to kill two players and prevent the bomb being planted as time expired to win 13-6.
Now on Vertigo, KOI were the ones to take an early lead on their CT-side as they quickly went ahead 6-2. It was looking good for the Europeans, but FURIA suddenly found their footing and strung a few rounds together to bring it to 6-6 at the half. FURIA would then hold strong on the CT-side of Vertigo after securing the pistol win as they laid claim to a 13-9 win.
FURIA remain alive in the PGL Copenhagen Major and will play ENCE tomorrow for elimination.
