G3 C4LLM3SU3: "My team trusts my aim"

Fragadelphia’s CS/DO event is giving several amateur teams the opportunity to show up, and show out. G3 has been one of the more exciting teams in NA Advanced this year with their Asian core proving to be an upset potential in many an online qualifier. While at the event, G3’s Qihao “C4LLM3SU3” Su spoke with Dust2.us’ Jeffrey “Mnmzzz” Moore to talk about the team's run at Fragadelphia CS/DO, his recent qualification to FPL, and how the Chinese expat ended up on an Asian team in North America.

How do you feel about your run? It seems like you didn't have much opposition until facing Detonate.

I think we need better team coordination, that's the main reason why we lost map one. Part of the reason why we didn't win map one was because we didn't really practice that map but on the second and third maps we actually do scrims and know what we are doing. I think we have pretty good teamwork on executing and also retaking the sites. Overall we just need better coordination with the team, we need more time to fit each other's play.

Can you just give us a general rundown of who plays what roles on this squad?

My role is as a rifle, my team trusts my aim, they asked me to go lurk to find openings for the team and then for IGL we don't really have a specific IGL spot, we are just giving suggestions to each other and then we just agree or deny on it.

You recently finished ESEA Advanced in 9th/12th place, so how do you feel about the team's run there?

Same as the games we played today, we still need to improve our coordination, we find chances, and we have an opening for 5v3 or 5v4 but we end up losing the rounds, so I think we just need more time to fit each other's play.
