Americas RMR | What to expect from Liquid v. Complexity
Of course the seeding would have Liquid playing Complexity. Of course it would happen and it is probably the worst timeline for all of North America. Complexity, resurgent in recent months and now newly independent under Jason Lake once more, is looking to make the Major and bring more success for their new boss. Liquid not only need this Major, but require it as justification for a team that was supposed to strike fear in the hearts of the entire North American region.
This format gives very little up to all teams, who have only two losses to give before being eliminated. Now, the two titans of North America have to battle in the do-or-die match of our lives.
Complexity's conundrum
Something is wrong in this Complexity team. They aren't as dominant as they once were and it's becoming painfully obvious. A win today would almost negate the feeling of mixing things up - why change something if it's all going well? A loss would invite that change, almost make it a requirement. Of course, everyone wants to make a Major, so we'll see if Complexity can push through their own flaws to make it to Copenhagen.

Liquid's legacy
Liquid could survive missing this Major, but it will be an embarrassment and put that much more pressure on the team needing to qualify for Shanghai later this year. Against Complexity, they are going up against the best North American team at the moment. The squad needs a statement win and this is it.
