COMPLEXITY COME FROM BEHIND TO GO TO COPENHAGEN! | Live Blog

It's the Americas RMR, but maybe no more Americans at the Major.

With the matches happening throughout the day, this live blog will serve you all as the one-stop shop for all highlights, match notes, and news updates for the day. Keep refreshing this page to see any and all relevant information for your day as we try to bring you the best from Monterrey!

Day 4 Matches and Schedule

  • Brazil paiN v. ODDIK Brazil at 11:00AM

  • United States M80 v. Legacy Brazil at 02:00PM

  • United States Complexity v. Liquid World at 05:00PM

06:44PM - THEY HAVE DONE IT

Complexity somehow found their footing on Anubis and then Overpass, where they dominated on their opening CT-side. The American squad have defeated Liquid 2-1 to earn their spot in Copenhagen and will ensure that America has representatives there.

05:50PM - COMPLEXITY ROAR BACK

Complexity have come all the way back on Anubis to ensure that this series doesn't end here! We are going to Overpass!

05:01PM - Liquid take a 1-0 lead

Liquid have struck first as they win the first map of the series! Conveniently it's also their map pick, but now it's Complexity's turn to play on their own pick. To Anubis we go!

04:15PM - It's time to see who is going to Copenhagen

NA gets one team in the Major, at least. Who knows who it will be as Liquid and Complexity duke it out over three maps.

03:43PM - M80 will not be going to the Major

Legacy have completed the reversal and held fast on their CT-side to take Inferno and the map. M80 are going home. Brazil will have four teams going to the Major. North America will have one. An incredible collapse for the region.

03:33PM - M80 bringing it close

It's 7-8 now for M80, who will have a slight economy advantage heading into the 16th round. This game is way too close and it's genuinely one of the hardest watches of the entire tournament.

03:22PM - Thank god it's tied

After some back-and-forth, M80 finally ties it back up at 5. It's not good enough, however as this squad needs to take a lead at the half to feel even somewhat confident of a win.

03:09PM - Inferno timeeeeee

It's literally just force buy after forcebuy. Why even buy guns, just keep going with Scouts and pistols. Somehow M80 look better when they have to play scrappy. Anyways, my entire body hurts from the stress of this game.

02:46PM - M80 lose Ancient. It's 1-1

I am not okay. M80 drop every single round in the Overtime to lose the map. The squad need to regroup as they hope to make the Major.

02:34PM - OT!

Holy hell this is an insane match as Legacy have ensured overtime. It's possible that M80 could pull away as they have been strong on their T-side.

02:28PM - M80 surging back

Okay, they went down, now they're back. It was a 10-7 scoreline, but now the NA squad has been able to claw their way to a 10-10 scoreline. It's back and forth back and forth. This game is giving me a heart attack.

02:14PM - 7-5 Half

It was a bit of an advantage for M80, but that is quickly slipping away... Can M80 find some strength to secure a few rounds?

02:07PM - It's... actually going well?

Is it perfect? No, but it is better than almost everything else that we've been seeing this week. M80 are up 7-3 and are showing some signs that this momentum can continue throughout the rest of the game. Man, imagine what Swisher stickers are like...

01:52PM - We're back in action

Things are underway as M80 have gone up 3-1 very quickly on Ancient. Their T-side on their map pick is usually strong and they're hopeful that this is the map where they can close it out 2-0 and make it to the Major in convincing fashion.

01:30PM WE'RE UP 1-0

IT WASN'T EVEN CLOSE! 13-6 as M80 steal Legacy's pick and are one map away from the Major. WHO DOUBTS NA?!

01:28PM - It's shaky, but OT is guaranteed

12-6 to M80. Look, they might be coming back a bit, but at least OT is guaranteed. I have seen enough collapses to know that no lead is safe. We just have to be happy.

01:15PM - This is an insane map from M80, it's an 11-1 half!

Nobody saw this coming. This is utterly insane. M80 are playing out of their mind and look like they can take it all the way. This squad is looking to close out the game after an incredible CT-side half. They did everything they needed to do in order to put themselves in the best position.

01:09PM - WHAT IS GOING ON

IT'S JUST A DEMOLITION RIGHT NOW, M80 ARE ROLLING TO A 9-0 LEAD

01:02PM - Five rounds in, it's all M80

Things are looking solid for M80 at this point as they start off the map 5-0 on their defense. The squad have repelled one gun round, but what does that matter when you make sure that the fundamentals and winning against low-buys is on point.

12:53PM - Picks are in, Games are started, let's get into it

Overpass has started, Ancient is in the mix, what do we think?

12:45PM - M80 get into the server

Oh god, okay, it's time. This is horrible. This is nervous. This is probably the worst I have felt all weekend. M80 are fighting Coldzera to make it to the Major. No way that this goes well. This sucks. This hurts. Okay, time to watch, let's see how this goes.

12:33PM - And that's all she wrote for ODDIK!

The first match of the day is already done in a blistering manner. ODDIK have been eliminated 2-0 by paiN who once again find themselves into a Major. It's an incredible achievement for the organization who have undergone massive roster changes since the BLAST.tv Paris Major last spring.

Brazil João 'matios' Guedes 15 - 28 -13 58.6 69.4% 0.71

11:34AM - And as we say that, first map is done

ODDIK looked awful on their own pick. Like, horrendous. Not good. paiN in two and this is going to be a much earlier day than we thought.

11:25AM - The first matches kick off!

And it's paiN v. ODDIK over three maps. It's a single stream today with each match right after the other. Brazil gets to go first while we wait for North America to get started after.

I'm actually so disappointed... Especially after the first map. They had the major in the bag but failed to capitalize. I'm happy they made it this far, but I can't help but feel irritated. Keep up the grind, maybe we will see ya at the second major of the year.
