JamezIRL joins GX as coach
A few days ago, James "JamezIRL" Macaulay was seen to have joined the GX ESEA roster. Dust2.us has now confirmed that he will be assuming coaching duties for the team, and he has already had his first outing in the role in our very own Dust2.us Masters #1. In that event, the team fell short of their goals, exiting the tournament after a 2-1 loss to ex-Naventic.
As a player, JamezIRL has performed under the ANTI ECO CLUB and (briefly) Adaptation banners in ESEA MDL over the past two seasons. He also has functioned as an analyst for Cloud9, as well as having on-air duties for ESL Pro League and IEM Oakland. His stint with North America's #1 team will surely come as a boon to GX, who have Pro League aspirations.
GX's roster is now:
- Keven "AZK" Lariviere
- Braxton "swag" Pierce
- Matt "Pollo" Wilson
- Michael "dapr" Gulino
- Shawn "witmer" Taylor
- James "JamezIRL" Macaulay (Coach)
GX will next be in action at the ESEA Season 26 MDL Global Challenge, where they will be participating in the main $50,000 tournament as well as the ESL Pro League Relegation. Dust2.us has learned that JamezIRL will travel with the team to the event, though he will not be able to stand behind them due to roster restrictions.
