IEM China to be held in Chengdu, NA qualifiers start today
ESL announced this morning that IEM China 2024 will take place in Chengdu, confirming long-standing rumors that the event would be in the south-western Chinese city, with the event set to take place from April 8th through April 14th.
The 16-team event will have a $250,000 prize pool and the winner will also earn a direct invite to IEM Cologne's groups stage. Playoffs will be held at the 12,000 seat Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre, where teams like FURIA, G2, FaZe, and Complexity will hope to be in attendance.
Joining those teams will be Lynn Vision, along with Monte, Virtus.pro, and five other teams coming from regional online qualifiers.

The North American Open Qualifiers for the event also begin later today, where several notable teams have already joined. Liquid, MIGHT, LOS, and NRG have all signed up for the open qualifier where they hope to earn one spot to meet M80 and BOSS in the Closed Qualifier. You can sign up for the qualifier here
