autimatic enters free agency
Effective today, Dust2.us has confirmed that Timothy "autimatic" Ta has entered free agency and is no longer tied to Evil Geniuses. The 27-year-old Major winner had been with Evil Geniuses for nearly two years, with the organization bringing autimatic back to CS:GO as part of their ill-fated 2018 Cloud9 "Last Dance"-esque team which imploded after six drama-filled months.
Since then, autimatic had been a consistent member of the Evil Geniuses' efforts to find a working roster, which included an international pivot under Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov, an abortive attempt to build a super-team with Denis "electroNic" Sharipov and Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, and finally, the promotion of EG Black. With all of these rosters, autimatic maintained a consistent, albeit modest positive rating for the majority of events he competed in, with moments of brilliance being unable to lift EG out of mediocrity.
Now in free agency, autimatic will look to continue his esports career in CS2 or possibly VALORANT. With most NA teams having settled their roster for the foreseeable future, a pivot back to VALORANT may be back on the cards, with autimatic having been spotted scrimming RIOT's shooter lately.
