muenster is the latest to leave EG

muenster enters free agency

After a year and a half at the struggling organization, muenster is back on the market.

Effective today, Evil Geniuses Gold's former coach, Joeseph "muenster" Lima, has entered free agency heading into 2024. The 29-year-old coach's exit from Evil Geniuses sees muenster leave after a year and a half in a variety of roles including stints as the head coach of EG White and EG Gold and as a Strategic Coach for the main EG squad.

muenster spent the majority of his time on EG's books as the head coach of EG White, having made the move alongside his former Party Astronauts compatriots. Unfortunately for muenster, outside of a stellar LAN victory at Fragadelphia 17, EG White's time with the organization was largely uneventful and often puzzling, as the team were sidelined in favor of giving opportunities to EG Black. This would ultimately coalesce in EG Black's core being promoted as EG's main squad while EG White were released after ten months.

After a few months of floating around amidst EG's expansive pool of Strategic Coaches, muenster found himself replacing Louis "onter" Contreras on EG Gold. This four-month tenure was once again fairly uneventful, with EG Gold failing to make the ESL Impact Season 4 LAN after the team failed to find their footing in NA league play.

While his with EG likely did not live up to his expectations, muenster now heads into free agency with another feather in his cap as one of the most experienced NA coaches currently active. Hopefully this will allow him to find a new role as the NA scene prepares for the first CS2 Major in Copenhagen.

This guy is a clown, professional paycheck stealer. Never played a single league match in his life.
