Shimmer complete roster with chigen; empathy to stay with team

At the very start of the new year Shimmer announced their new fifth for 2024, former Tsunami Sirens player Casey "chigen" Glerb. The 22-year-old player joins the squad as a replacement for Julie "Bouchard" Bouchard, who stepped down from the lineup on December 13th. Along with the news of Shimmer's now complete roster, Dust2.us can also confirm that Lucy "empathy" Verkaik has elected to stay with the roster for next season, while keeping her eyes open for any salaried offers.

chigen had been on the lookout for a new home after her contract expired with Tsunami Sirens on December 10th. Her addition to Shimmer comes after chigen put on a strong performance in her first season of ESL Impact League, finishing Season 4 with a 1.09 rating over 16 maps. More recently. she was spotted helping a Shimmer mixteam playing as choccy milk win ESL Impact Cash Cup NA Autumn #7 over her former Tsunami Sirens teammates.
