Bouchard won't be part of the team for Season 5

Shimmer lose one; empathy still assessing other options

The future is very uncertain for the #2 NA women's team.

After a very tumultuous ESL Impact Season 4 Finals, Shimmer continue on a rocky road even after Valencia. While Abigail "abby" Deters is recovering from her injury, the team has announced that it's looking for a new player to join the team under anchor roles, as Julie "Bouchard" Bouchard is no longer part of the squad.

That's not all, Lucy "empathy" Verkaik is looking to move to Europe following the recent ESL Impact changes and the fact that Shimmer does not have organizational support. While empathy hasn't committed to a move the team still counts on her, but is ready to look for a new player.

One of the most surprising news is the fact that Australian Phoebe "phoebe" Winter is still part of the squad, despite the fact that she has returned to her country. phoebe came to play the last two ESL Impact S4 North America series and quickly impressed the community, not only because of her dedication, flying from Australia, but also due to her ability.

Shimmer has until March to find a new fifth and see if empathy is going to be staying in North America or if she is going to make a move that has never been done before since the inception of the league and go to Europe. If the core of abby, phoebe, and Lynn "Lx" Clarke stay together, Shimmer will still have their spot in the ESL Impact Season 5 NA division, if not, they will have to play the open qualifier.
