EG Gold roster to explore options for future

With Evil Geniuses expected to pull out of CS, EG Gold are looking at their future.

As operations slowly winding down at Evil Geniuses as part of their reported exit from esports, EG Gold of course has not been spared. As such, on December 19th the lineup announced in separate posts that the organization has allowed them to explore their options for next year. The news follow EG Gold's coach, Joseph "Muenster" Lima's announcement that his contract is set to expire at the end of the year, likely seeing him exit Evil Geniuses as well.

Evil Geniuses' impending exit from the Impact scene follows the general wind down of operations seen across the Seattle-based organization's esports properties, with the male team also shedding players in recent weeks. EG's Gold lineup lasted 16 months, with the Sacrifice roster being signed in August 2022. Unfortunately, despite investment into the project by EG, the roster was never able to find success, only making the ESL Impact LAN Finals once in three seasons, with the team generally lagging behind FlyQuest RED and Shimmer domestically.

With their future uncertain, there is the potential for the team to continue together while looking for a new home, or to split and spread their experience around the scene.

EG Gold currently consists of:

  • Long "PiggyKiki" Kiki

  • United States Kiara "m1lky" Makua

  • Sweden Tilde "7licious" Byström

  • United States Juliana "Juli" Tosic

  • United States Vanessa "vanessa" Gideon

  • United States Joseph "Muenster" Lima (Coach)
