Report: Party Astronauts set to unveil PwnAlone replacement
According to sources with knowledge of Party Astronauts' plans, Dust2.us understands that the team has already found their replacement for Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue, whom they parted ways with today. In his place, the team are set to add Adam "WolfY" Andersson, with the Swedish-American AWPer having recently left BOSS to facilitate this move.
The former M80 AWPer has reportedly been called to join Party Astronauts as the team look for a fresh perspective heading into 2024 and the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR Closed Qualifier. Party Astronauts have long been in the hunt for a spot in the Major, even attending the PGL Major Antwerp Americas RMR in 2022. However, there the team fell short in their pursuit of a Major spot, with this move likely coming to shake things up in the pursuit of the first CS2 Major.
Dust2.us also understands that current FaZe analyst Hunter "Lucid" Tucker has resumed working with Party Astronauts in an unofficial capacity, with there being the potential of him taking over as head coach in the team again. However, it is understood this is not a done deal, with the 23-year-old American remaining tied to FaZe at the moment.
Party Astronauts is expected to consist of:
-
Ben "ben1337" Smith
-
Connor "chop" Sullivan
-
Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk
-
Wesley "viz" Harris
-
Adam "WolfY" Andersson
-
Luke "Viathan" Carstens (Coach)
