BOSS lose WolfY, bring in former Nouns AWPer

cynic has found a new home with a remarkably short turnover.

Late last night, Brett "brett" Rhein announced that Adam "WolfY" Andersson had left BOSS, exiting the organization-less team after only a month. In his place, brett also announced that former Nouns AWPer David "cynic" Polster had joined the team, bringing them back up to full strength. cynic recently found himself on the outs at Nouns as the team are reportedly set to add former EG AWPer Paytyn "junior" Johnson.

The departure of WolfY from BOSS is sure to raise eyebrows as BOSS have been in excellent form as of late, qualifying to ESL Pro League Season 19 after finishing ESL Challenger League Season 46 in second place. It is understood that WolfY left BOSS of his own volition to pursue new opportunities, with the move surprising his now-former BOSS teammates.

Fortunately for BOSS, the stars aligned to a degree with cynic being ousted from Nouns around the same time as WolfY chose to pack his bags. In cynic, BOSS will have a highly experienced player who will likely pick up the primary AWPer role on the team. In 2023, cynic dabbled with being a hybrid player, so it will be interesting to see if he can adapt to the role change.

BOSS are now:

  • United States Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore

  • Canada Adam "freshie" Paterson

  • United States Brett "brett" Rhein

  • United States Matthew "d4rty" Paplawskas

  • United States David "cynic" Polster

BOSS' first event with cynic will be the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 North American Closed Qualifier, which is set to begin on January 12th.

He probably wants to grind EU cs again. As far as I know he lives in Sweden, so it makes sense he wants to go back.

If you have a choice to live in EU and play CS it's definitely the right career move.
