Rocket part ways with R2D2J

On December 18th, Damian "droid" Boulware announced the departure of Emerson "R2D2J" L. of Rocket, with the team set to look for a new fifth heading into 2024. R2D2J's decision to exit the team comes after Rocket were relegated in ESL Challenger League Season 46 Relegation, with the team being knocked out of the bracket following a close loss to MIGHT in the lower bracket final.

droid told Dust2.us that R2D2J elected to quit the team after this loss, with it being unknown if he will continue playing. It is worth noting that Rocket are likely to return to ECL for Season 47 as Evil Geniuses and ex-Eros White are understood to not be fielding rosters next season. As such, they will be called up as the next eligible team to replace them and will look to improve on their 4-10 record from last season.
