Vault start crowdfunding effort for WESG South American Finals
Vault, one of the qualifying teams for the WESG South American Finals, has hit a roadblock as they look to repeat their success from last year, aiming for another World Finals spot.
Despite having qualified for the regional finals, their respective region is indeed vast. South America has one of the worst internet infrastructures in the world, so it was no surprise when Vault team captain Juanes "sickLy" Valencia took to Twitter to see what help him and his team could find.
He detailed in a TwitLonger that it would be nigh impossible to compete with an team average latency of 250ms, and that they sought to be able to travel closer to their opponents so that they might stand a fighting chance at taking the online event.
Quick to come to their aid was Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo:
This isn't the first time Toledo has come to his fellow South Americans aid. Back in 2015 he also assisted Argentinian team NTN get to the MAX5 Invitational in São Paulo, Brazil. Players Guillermo "guishorro" Areco and Jonathan "JonY BoY" Muñoz would later go on to form Gale Force, which topped the Season 26 MDL seasonal bracket before being eliminated in 5-8th in the playoff stage.
With still half of their funding being sought, more information on how to contribute can be found within Valencia's TwitLonger.
