Official: Twistzz returns to Liquid
Well, it's finally here. The news we've all been waiting for. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken is officially a Liquid play after leaving the team nearly three years ago. In the time that he departed for Europe and joined up with FaZe he won a Major and his second Intel Grand Slam, the only player to do so. It's a remarkable career for the 24-year-old who now returns to an Americas team to play with Keith "NAF" Markovic once more.
The Liquid now is much different from the Liquid then. Nick "nitr0" Cannella, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, Jake "Stewie2k" Yip, and others are long gone from the team. It's a re-imagined Americas roster that will now feature a Brazilian, a Latvian, a Dane, and for the first time ever in Liquid's Counter-Strike history, not a single American player.
Twistzz joining Liquid does not come without any sort of heartbreak. Fans of FaZe have been seen publicly advocating for him to stay, some in China even had signs begging the Canadian to rethink his decision during the CAC 2023 tournament.
Liquid have finally completed their revamped squad, which is packed full of superstars and one of the more exciting Brazilian prospects in recent memory. Liquid is now:
-
Keith "NAF" Markovic
-
Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis
-
Felipe "skullz" Medeiros
-
Casper "cadiaN" Møller
-
Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
-
Wilton "zews" Prado (Coach)
