Official: Twistzz bids farewell to FaZe
Today, Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken posted on his Twitter account a farewell letter to FaZe after three years of representing the organization. His departure from the organization comes at a time when Twistzz and Liquid have already reached a contractual agreement, as first reported by Dust2.us.
Twistzz's time with FaZe ends with six LAN trophies, including one Major and an Intel Grand Slam, further cementing the Canadian as the winningest Counter-Strike player from the region since the launch of CS:GO.
In his departure post, Twistzz reveals that the team has known about him leaving since before the start of IEM Sydney, which FaZe won with only one loss, kickstarting their recent 18-series win streak. The Canadian rifler admits that he was not expecting such a strong run at the beginning of the CS2 era, which has given a "bittersweet" taste to his final weeks with FaZe.
The two-time Intel Grand Slam winner argues that during his time with FaZe, the team "completed the game" and he is now "ready to move on to another challenge," also telling the fans that he will be "revealing more later on" in regards to his decision to leave the organization. Twistzz thanked members of the FaZe organization and his teammates, saying that they helped him "grow into a better person" and has also expressed his desire to represent the organization if a future opportunity arises.
Twistzz's departure from FaZe has been taking shape since Sydney, as the rifler said, amidst rumors of him making a return to Liquid, which have since taken more tangible shapes. Liquid is expected to announce the Twistzz signing soon, alongside Casper "cadiaN" Møller's, and Felipe "skullz" Medeiros'.
