Valve listened to floppy's feedback
Valve provided an update to Counter-Strike 2 last night which saw updates to competitive ratings and various bug fixes and tweaks. At first, the update was overshowded by the massive overhaul to the Regional Major Ranking tournaments which now include pre-event seeding.
However, the ever-eagle-eyed Gabe Follower noticed that Valve was adjusting interpolation, lag compensation, and backtracking. After posting about this on twitter, Complexity's own Ricky "floppy" Kemery noted that he had actually sent Valve an email about such items while at IEM Sydney 2023.
Complexity finishing second at the event might have been the American's biggest achievement in recent months until this update. Valve apparently listened to floppy's feedback, which was brought upon when noting the difference between practicing online and playing on LAN.
Many have noted issues with Counter-Strike 2 and the subtick system with movement and sprays feeling 'off', bullets not connecting, or being killed from an enemy not on screen. With the recent update, Valve is at least listening and hopefully improving the gameplay.
