Infinity replace malbsMd with tor1towOw
Infinity Esports have replaced Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa with former Supremacy player Joel "tor1towOw" Rios Manrique. Dust2.us knows that the decision to bench malbsMd was mutual as the player expressed desires to try and find a new team with his contract expiring at the end of the month. Likewise, Dust2.us also knows that Javier "cruzN" Cruz and Camilo "points" Londoño will also be entering free agency at the end of April.
malbsMd had been a member of Infinity for over a year, joining the Costa Rican organization after FULL SEND qualified to EPL Season 9. After two seasons in EPL, the team were demoted to ESEA MDL Season 33 as a result of ESL's decision to restructure ESL Pro League into a single global division.
After finishing Season 33 deep in relegation territory, Infinity managed to reclaim their spot in MDL after besting Serac in a close 2-1 series.
Although tor1towOw is likely an unknown quantity for North American readers he has performed well in Peru during his time with Supremacy, maintaining a 1.44 rating over the past three months. Additionally, he was Supremacy's top performer against Infinity in the WESG 2019 Northern Latin American qualifier.
With this change, Infinity are now:
- Andrés "spamzzy" Correa
- Santiago "Daveys" Galvis
- Jesús "sam_A" Taboada
- Francisco "k1Nky" Alvarez
- Joel "tor1towOw" Rios Manrique
- Aldair "alone" Torres (Coach)
- Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa (Inactive)
- Javier "cruzN" Cruz (Inactive)
- Camilo "points" Londoño (Inactive)
tor1towOw will be making his debut with Infinity during ESEA MDL Season 34, which is set to begin on Apil 27th.
