Twistzz to continue on FaZe, Vitality add mezii for Fall Final
Despite being currently in talks with Liquid, Canadian superstar Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken will be playing for FaZe when the European squad participates in the BLAST Premier Fall Final later this month. The Copenhagen event will likely be one of the last events for the rifler as he is expected to join Liquid before the end of the year.
Sources have previously told Dust2.us that negotiations between the two sides have been very positive, and Twistzz is prepared to rejoin the organization where he became an international star. With Liquid pulling out of the Thunderpick World Championship and CS Asian Championship 2023, there are no upcoming events in which the organization partakes.
Put simply, there is no rush or reason that Twistzz would need to part with FaZe before the end of this busy season. However, with FaZe also qualified to the BLAST Premier World Finals later this December, it is unknown if he will be able to play with the squad.
In addition, one of the more eye-catching moves as part of the rosters submitted to BLAST was that Vitality have registered Fnatic star William "mezii" Merrimen, who previously played for GamerLegion and Cloud9's Colossus project, as part of their roster.
However, Danish rifler Emil "Magisk" Reif who HTLV reported is going to the new Falcons superteam, is also included as part of the roster. French insider Sébastien "KRL" Perez noted that Magisk would not be playing with Vitality at the event, however Dust2.us cannot confirm that.
Additionally, Heroic have also brought in Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss from Sprout as their new fifth for the event following the benching of Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Martin "stavn" Lund due to internal disagreements over the future of the squad.
The BLAST Premier Fall Final will begin on November 22nd and run through November 26th.
