Complexity fall early to Spirit
Complexity started off their Thunderpick World Championship run with a tough loss against Spirit after an abysmal first map and a close second. The usual suspect, Danil "donk" Kryshkovets showed up with his A-game and was the main obstacle Complexity couldn't overtake.
This loss might set up a North American derby, as M80 will face MOUZ today, in a series that should see the European squad beating M80, if everything goes smoothly.
The series started with Complexity's much-loved Anubis, but Spirit were ready for everything. Complexity had a false start on the CT-side, only managing to win a single round in the whole half, which had a bleeding effect into the second half. From 11-1 down, the Cowboys managed to win the T-side pistol round and the following round, but it was too little too late, as Spirit closed the map 13-3.
Then came Nuke, picked by Spirit. Complexity had a good start to the CT-side, with a 4-0 lead, but the Russian squad tied the game 5-5 and even took a one round lead before the North Americans tied the half. The second half had the teams exchange rounds, but with Complexity always trailing. Spirit would end up with an 11-10 lead and two close rounds secured the series for them.
Complexity will face the loser of the MOUZ vs. M80 series in an elimination match, tomorrow at 08:00AM.
