Despite his best efforts, SLIGHT couldn't get the win

Wildcard eliminated from Thunderpick World Championship

The team managed to win a map against SAW.

After a day one defeat against Monte, Wildcard faced SAW in an elimination series, as the Portuguese team had fallen to FaZe, yesterday. This SAW squad was the lowest-ranked team in the event outside of the North American teams, meaning this could be a good chance for Wildcard to get an upset win. Unfortunately, it did not happen.

Despite winning the first map, Wildcard could not replicate that result and ended up losing the series 2-1, which sees the team leaving the Thunderpick World Championship just after two games.

Anubis would be Wildcard's pick to start the series, and the team showed that yesterday's Anubis T-side performance against Monte was not a fluke, despite going into the half down 5-7 on the CT-side. The second half was much better right from the start, with the NA team winning the pistol and the following round. SAW would win two rounds in the next three played but Wildcard would then show a flawless T-side, with five straight round wins to end the map 13-9.

Nuke would be next and it is SAW's most played match in the last three months. The experience the Portuguese men have, showed during this map, with the team winning the first half on the T-side 8-4 despite Wildcard winning the pistol round. The second half was controlled by SAW, as Wildcard could not get any round on the board. 13-4 was the final result.

Going into the Ancient decider, both teams had the same exact record on the map. It would be SAW who would get off to a great start on the CT-side, getting an early 6-1 lead. Wildcard managed to come back at the end of the half and shrink the deficit to a 7-5 score. Much like Nuke, the second half was only SAW showing off, as the CT-side of Wildcard could only get one round win. 13-6 was the final score.

With this loss, Wildcard only has one last tournament to finish in Europe before going back to North America. In United21 Season 7, Wildcard will face Zero Tenacity tomorrow in an elimination series to see who advances to playoffs.
