Evil Geniuses stay alive in EPL
Evil Geniuses have managed to continue their run in ESL Pro League Season 18 with a comfortable and expected 2-0 win over Rooster. After a series of close misses against far more pedigreed teams, a quick win over Rooster is a nice reprieve for the team and fans as well, seeing Evil Geniuses get one more change to make an impact in Malta.
Rooster chose to start off the match on their pick of Mirage, which would not go the way they hoped. Evil Geniuses looked incredibly strong on the map, despite the heroic performances of Corey "nettik" Browne. The Americans had a strong defense lead the way as they turned a 10-5 half into a 16-6 map win nd putting EG one step closer to staving off elimination.
The second map was not as easy for Evil Geniuses on their own pick of Nuke. Rooster would turn a first round pistol loss into a slight 4-3 lead before blowing the doors open and taking a dominant 10-5 lead on their CT-side. Things were looking dire for the Americans, however they would not be deterred. A second pistol win of the map suddenly turned into eleven straight rounds for Evil Geniuses as they closed out the map 16-10 and now have to start planning for their next opponent.
