How do I play Aim Botz in CS2?
With Counter-Strike 2 releasing to a wider audience than ever before in recent weeks, many players are getting their first taste of Valve's new shooter. However, with that has come a conundrum as without an easy way to launch Workshop Maps or play on Community Servers, the way many people get mechanically ready for matches has been affected. Fortunately, the former problem has a solution courtesy of Ukrainian player Ilya "Ganginho" Chernichenko and NA content creator Michael "NartOutHere" Tran.
The good news too is that while the solution we'll discuss is tailored towards Aim Botz, it should work for any map ported to Counter-Strike 2.
The process is relatively simple, and shouldn't take very long before you're able to start playing Aim Botz. To start:
-
Download GGPredict's Aim Botz map from their website here.
-
On your computer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\maps and place the map file inside.
-
Open up CS2 and then open your console and type map ggp_aimbots
It's really as easy as that, and now you should be able to access the map and start practicing. As Nart mentions in his video, be careful to go to Valve's somewhat deceptively named CS2 folder located at (\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\maps) rather than the CS:GO holder located at (\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps).
Happy practicing!
