Fnatic take down Luminosity in ECS opener
Fnatic, the first seed in Group A, found themselves pitted against Luminosity in their first match at the ECS Season 4 Finals. Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson kicked off Cobblestone with a triple kill and a first round, but Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves answered back with triple of his own to take the second. Robin "flusha" Rönnquist, known for his CZ-75 play, acquired three kills in round three, resetting the Brazilians' economy.
Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson helped to power the Swedish team to two additional rounds until round six, where SHOOWTiME once again bailed out his team to secure a second round. Gustavo "yeL" Knittel then put in some work, but the flusha machine was too strong for Luminosity. After many ridiculous multi-kill rounds by flusha (and two by Lekr0), Fnatic ended their CT half 10-5, with flusha sitting on a 24-5 K-D.
This half saw Luminosity took the pistol round, but like Fnatic in the first half, they lost the following round. Fnatic takes control of the game and quickly advances to 15 rounds, but LG took round 23 despite a triple from Lekr0. The Brazilian side mounted a fair comeback, getting 12 rounds total, but Lekr0 led Fnatic to take the map 16-12.
