Cynic might be unlocked as an AWPer now

Official: cynic rejoins Nouns, but not as IGL

Further changes come to the Nouns camp.

It appears that Nouns have decided to make the reunion official, less than two months after the initial separation with their original IGL. David "cynic" Polster is headed back into the fold as part of the Nouns setup as Bobby "stamina" Eitrem departed after just a short time with the team. Dust2.us initially reported that cynic would be filling the AWPer and IGL role, however Nouns have announced that instead Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly will lead the team going forward.

This is another change in IGLs for the DAO-backed team who have struggled to find consistent leadership as of late. Hopefully this latest switch is the last as the team needs to find solid footing in international qualifiers and in the North American ESL Challenger League.

cynic's return to Nouns is remarkable considering the team's decision to bring in stamina after IEM Dallas 2023 and even participating in a bootcamp in Europe with the player. Clearly, the squad found themselves unable to continue on with the journeyman IGL and decided the best option was to return back to their familiar roots.

The squad been working together for the last week weeks and will need to be on the same page as the IEM Sydney 2023 Closed Qualifier begins later tonight at 05:30PM.

Nouns are now:

  • United States Brendan "Bwills" Williams

  • United States Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly

  • United States Christopher "cJ" Jones

  • Mexico Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado

  • United States David "cynic" Polster

  • Canada Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen (Coach)
