Former Dignitas players return to Counter-Strike
Earlier today, in an article regarding the start of the ESL Impact Season 4 NA open qualifiers, Dust2.us mentioned a new squad as a must-watch, due to the players representing the team.
Although not official at the time, it seemed like Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido and Amanda "rain" Smith would be coming back to CS:GO, at least just to try to qualify for the upcoming season of ESL Impact. Now, after announcing it on Twitter, Karma is here to stay for the foreseeable future, looking for an organization to call home.
EMUHLEET and rain are two of the most experienced players in the women's Counter-Strike scene, having won two GAMERGIRL Esports Festivals and two Intel Challenge Katowice tournaments, now known as ESL Impact Katowice, all the way back in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Joining the two legendary players are AWPer April "bungee" Haight and Elena "Ellie" Garland, both coming from VALORANT, as well as Olga "olya" Kryvulych, who last played with Saints during the third season of ESL Impact. EMUHLEET will be the primary AWPer of the team, despite both bungee and olya being able to hold their own with the sniper rifle.
The official debut of the Karma squad will happen today, during the first open qualifier for the ESL Impact Season 4, with their opponents still not known, as sign-ups are live at the time of publication. The matches are set to start at 06:00PM.
