Buzz's first time in such a big arena has been good, despite the result

Buzz: "I feel like we have so much potential"

The 20-year-old rifler believes the future can be bright again for the Danish organization.

Astralis' journey in IEM Cologne started with a win over Liquid on the 26th of July in the Play-in stage. Now, one week and a half later, the team fell to the hands of G2 in the semifinals of the event. For Christian "Buzz" Andersen this was his first time in the Lanxess Arena, and he talked to Dust2.us' Gonçalo "GoncOak" Carvalho about the team's journey, the potential of this lineup, and the Ancient streak ending.

Your campaign in Cologne ends here against G2 in the semifinals. You finally lost on Ancient, what happened there?

I think G2 did some good preparations for the game and I think we weren't really playing 100% today. It was kind of one of those off days especially for me. I'm not 100% sure what went wrong yet, we are going to watch the match.

You guys came really close to the finals, starting all the way back in the Play-in stage. It's been two weeks, does the fatigue accumulate, and do you feel it on the stage?

I wouldn't say we feel it too much on the stage. I feel like, when you are finally here you have all the energy you need but, obviously, playing every day, we went to BLAST before this, we had one half off day, then we came here, played for two weeks, so it's been a long journey so far, we are going to need some off days but it was an amazing feeling playing on the stage.

It's your first time on the stage here in Cologne. How does it feel to be playing on one of the biggest stages of all time in CS:GO and CS in general?

It was really nice, all the fans were here to support us, the crowd, the whole atmosphere. It's a unique experience, I am just glad I got to experience it.

What can fans expect from you in the future?

They can expect me to keep improving, also improving as a team. We only played after the player break with this lineup, I feel like we have so much potential, so we are going to keep working and, hopefully, come back stronger.

Astralis now have until the August 30th to prepare for ESL Pro League, in which they will be playing in Group A.
