frozen has high hopes for his new team

frozen: "Even though we're young, we want to prove we can play experienced CS"

The young talent opens up about his new IGL after the lineup's opening win.

Dust2.us' coverage of the IEM Cologne Play-Ins is in full swing, continuing on with a conversation between Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore and MOUZ's long-time member David "frozen" Čerňanský after his team's qualification to Cologne with a 2-0 win over NIP. The two discuss the recent addition of in-game leader Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, frozen growing into the new style, leadership differences, and more.

About the NIP game, what went right? Was there just some MOUZ magic in there and everything went perfect?

I think it was a bit of everything, to be honest. I think calling was great, team play was great, comms were very good I know. I think we just kept it calm no matter what even though I think we almost kind of let them come back to the game a bit, but I think we just never like put the foot off the gas and we just kept going.

One thing I find interesting though is every single player on the team with the exception of you has played with siuhy before. How does it you know feel to now be under his leadership for the first official?

Yeah, I mean as you said I didn't play with the siuhy yet but I'm just getting used to it, you know? It's our first big tournament together, I mean today was basically the first official we played and yeah just trying to get used to him, the way he calls, the way he moves his players around, and how he uses them.

It is of course very early days, but how does his leadership differ from the leadership of your previous IGL dexter?

I think there are some similarities, but I think with siuhy, he's a bit more, I would say loose with the style of calling because I mean obviously we're like- I mean it also depends on the map right? I think on some maps he's very direct with the calling, on some maps we have it kind of free and see what's up, see what we can work with. For example, Inferno, I think it was just very direct and we just did everything how we wanted.

You are one of the youngest teams in pro Counter-Strike right now, is there something special to that in terms of how it works for your team?

I don't think so. I think even though we are the youngest, we just want to prove we can play experienced CS.

MOUZ will have a three-day break before their opening match at IEM Cologne, with the opponent yet to be determined.
