Black Dragons parts ways with women's roster
According to Dust2 Brasil, Black Dragons decided to let the contracts with the women's roster run out after initially trying to renew them. However, the team lost the roster's star player Ana "annaEX" Dias to FURIA's women's roster and decided to move on all together.
The active Black Dragons fe line-up has been together for nine months and managed to reach the ESL Impact League Season 3 LAN Finals, where they just missed out on playoffs.
This isn't the first time the organization decided not to renew contracts, as just last month Black Dragons fired eight employees, its women's VALORANT roster, and its Crossfire squad. In the Counter-Strike scene, the team had already let go of Roger "slip" Alencar, the coach and analyst of the ESL Impact team. All these firings are associated with cuts on expenses, as the organization is going through a rough moment.
The Black Dragons women's roster will keep playing under the team's name until the contracts end, but have been already encouraged to find new homes. At the moment, none of the players has made a public announcement regarding the situation.
With ESL Impact Season 4 starting on August 18th, the current Black Dragons players have a month to join a new team.
