Women's rosters join the shuffle party

Teams are getting ready for the next seasons of ESL Impact and ESEA divisions.

All-women's squads are used to a lot of player changes, with new players appearing in the scene and some rosters not clicking together, and it's rare for a line-up to get through a season without any change. After the end of this last season, teams took their time to analyze their options and only recently, two weeks after the start of the player break, players started announcing that they are looking for new opportunities.

The biggest casualty of this player break is the Saints roster, which is unofficially disbanded, as every single player from the active line-up is looking for another team.

Saints

The whole roster seems to be leaving the team. Anna "buhnny" Cheung and Olga "olya" Kryvulych announced on Twitter that they are looking for a team, Elora "Sinxysinxy" Hughes has already found a new home in The Plague, a mixed team, while Cynthia "katalyyst" Sheerajin announced that she will reveal her new team soon. Iuliia "sckrafft" Gerasimova has yet to announce her plans for next season.

With all this, it looks like the Saints roster won't be coming back for next season.

Factor Ruby

The team suffered two losses in the middle of the ESEA Open season and had to play with substitutes for almost a month until settling for Jayde "jaydee^c" Creed by the end of May. To end this month, Hailey "Hailey" Lee announced the departure from Factor Ruby and the search for a new team. With that, the squad is looking for a fifth player again, but this time the search for the right piece doesn't need to be rushed.

The team will be hosting tryouts next week, to find the fifth player to join the following squad:

  • United States Amanda "Reef" Ruiz

  • United States Kristen "PippySippy" Hendrickson

  • United States Milla "MamaAlien" Schmidt

  • United States Jayde "jaydee^c" Creed

Cherry Bombs

This team goes under a lot of radars due to not participating in many ESL Impact events, but every time they do, they always meet Shimmer or Detonate SparX and can't overcome those big obstacles. Regardless, the team is now suffering the loss of Kathy "Soonamii" Smith, who had been with the team since February 17th, and the team will hold tryouts for players willing to play a rifling role.

Next season we hope to see more of this team on the Impact circuit, with the squad that follows needing one more piece:

  • United States Ashley "Giraffe"

  • United States Hailey "Swan"

  • Canada Shelby "shelby"

  • Canada Chelsea "Chels"

Detonate SparX

It appears that this squad that went on a small hiatus after missing out on a spot at the ESL Impact Season 3 LAN Finals will be back for next season without the star rifler Cecily "Chowdzz" Johnson, who is committed to playing with Michigan Tech while studying. As the team stays alive and well, the squad is hoping to finalize the roster in the coming weeks.

As Chowdzz leaves and other players are still not sure if they come back, the SparX line-up could be facing more changes than just the one mentioned previously. With the team still not certain of the shift it will make, it is unknown to Dust2.us which players will return to the servers under the Detonate banner.

Kinda sad to see that a lot of rosters in both scenes are splitting up. Maybe im wrong but I feel like theres a lot of advantage to sticking together during the offseason and keeping a consistent core.

Massive advantage really, especially in impact, teams that have any semblance of chemistry can end the season top 4 in the region easily
