Evil FalleN is here to bring Brazil back to the top

Official: FURIA sign FalleN

The biggest move of the Brazilian scene is a done deal.

FURIA announced today the addition of Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, putting an end to a deal that has been first reported on May 29th by Game Arena.

After some interest was shown by other teams, the legendary Brazilian IGL AWPer decided to join the #1 BR CS:GO organization, despite his buyout becoming a sticking point after interest in the player was shown.

Last week ended with FURIA reportedly widening their search for a fifth player due to the high amounts of money Imperial was asking for chelo, but it is expected that the rifler will be annouced in due course since his departure from Imperial this morning.

FalleN's time with Imperial, the "Brazilian Last Dance", is coming to an end after a year and four months and 188 maps played, during which the Professor averaged a 1.09 rating. Imperial now has to acquire two new players in less than two weeks, thanks to the roster lock for IEM Cologne Play-in. The competition will start on the 26th of July, with the roster lock deadline usually being 14 days prior to the start of the tournament, which means the organization will have until the 12th of July to sign the new players.

For FURIA, this means the squad is nearly complete and can now focus on practicing for IEM Cologne Play-in, which they hope to be the start of something wonderful and new, a stint where the team finally is able to lift a trophy on a LAN event.

The FURIA squad is now:

  • Brazil Yuri "yuurih" Santos

  • Brazil Andrei "arT" Piovezan

  • Brazil Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato

  • Brazil Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo

  • Brazil Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (Coach)
