Infinite exits Strife
Gage "Infinite" Green has announced his search for a new team post-player break, with Dust2.us confirming with the player he is a free agent. The departure of Infinite from Strife leaves the team's future under incredibly uncertain circumstances as they are now reduced to two players.
Infinite's departure from Strife follows their former IGL Bobby "stamina" Eitrem's decision to leave the squad and focus on streaming during the player break as NA faces an uncertain future ahead of the release of CS2. This was followed up by Strife losing another key player, with Matthew "d4rty" Paplawskas being acquired by rival organization Wildcard on June 6th.
Since then, things have been quiet in the Strife camp, with the team playing their last event before the player break, the ESEA Cash Cup Circuit Finals, with three stand-ins.
In relation to this news, Strife's coach Calvin "becker" Becker told Dust2.us that the team is evaluating the next steps ahead of CS2 and that they are trying to keep a core together for next season. Importantly, becker said Bobby "stamina" Eitrem expressed interest in rebuilding the team while Paul '"aris" Wilson may also be available to help retain the spot. In any case, becker noted that the team rebuilding in Advanced may not be the worst thing for the squad.
This leaves Strife with the following roster:
-
Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney
-
Ian "motm" Hardy
-
Calvin "becker" Becker (Coach)
With the start of ESEA Season 46 reportedly delayed, Strife and other teams will have to wait a bit longer before settling affairs post-played break.
