Fluxo reportedly targeting paiN trio
According to a report by Jairo "Foxer" Junior of Game Arena, Brazilian organization Fluxo are targeting a trio of paiN players to rebuild their lineup after an underwhelming first half of 2023. The negotiations, which are still in early stages, would see João "felps" Vasconcellos and Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato leave the starting lineup while Vinícios "PKL" Coelho, Wesley "hardzao" Lopes, and Romeu "zevy" Rocco would link up with Vinicius "vsm" Moreira and Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves.
This latest report adds to the absolute chaos of the "Brazilian shuffle" as numerous organizations are looking to retool their rosters post player break. It is broadly understood that amidst this shuffle, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo is playing the roles of kingmaker and linchpin as his potential acquisition by FURIA or paiN will set the stage, to some degree, regarding who goes where within the Brazilian scene.
Likewise, even within Fluxo itself, things aren't so cut and dry as Dust2 Brasil reported back in May that MIBR has their sights set on Lucaozy. While this move has yet to come to fruition, losing Lucaozy could alter Fluxo's plans greatly especially as he will reportedly sell for ~$288,000.
Should this move come to fruition without any external influence, it would see PKL return to activity after stepping down from competition in February for personal reasons. In doing so, he would have something to prove under Fluxo as paiN have flourished with Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato who was his replacement. It would also put added pressure on Fluxo as an organization to find results after spending a king's ransom on CS:GO with very little to show for it. Despite spending more than $500,000 on acquisitions in the past year, the team have failed to gain any ground internationally despite making the BLAST.tv Paris Major in May.
Per Game Arena's report, Fluxo may consist of:
-
Vinicius "vsm" Moreira
-
Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves
-
Vinícios "PKL" Coelho
-
Wesley "hardzao" Lopes
-
Romeu "zevy" Rocco
-
Wilton "zews" Prado (Coach)
The Brazilian scene is sure to throw more curveballs as the player break gets underway, so be sure to keep an eye on Dust2.us for the latest on the scene.
