Drone leaves Peeker's Advantage; team to play out season with Mauisnake
Taylor "Drone" Johnson left the roster of Peeker's Advantage just before their MDL match against Big Frames on Thursday, leaving them with just four players and a coach. Peeker's Advantage has been rife with roster issues during the season, losing Noah "ULTRA" Giesbrecht and Chad "Oderus" Miller within the span of a day.
Filling the gap left by Drone's departure is the team's aforementioned coach, Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg. Mauisnake has already played for the team three times prior to Drone's exodus last night, but will now pick up the mantle as a player for the rest of the season.
Complimenting their roster instability, Peeker's Advantage have struggled in their league play, starting off winless in their first eight matches. They came close on multiple occasions, including 16-14 losses to Ascent, Bushido Boyz, and MAC-51, and also suffered a triple overtime loss to Ben's Anime Team.
In Mauisnake's first match as a full-time player on the roster, the team secured their first win of the season over Big Frames, with Mauisnake top fragging and dropping 107 ADR.
Peeker's Advantage will play out the remainder of the season with the following roster:
- Stephen "reltuC" Cutler
- Mike "Swisher" Schmid
- David "DAVEY" Stafford
- Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen
- Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg
Peeker's Advantage do not have any matches scheduled for the near future, but all MDL matches must be completed by November 11th. To avoid relegation, they need to win two of their last six games, which include matches against Rap Gang, Mythic, Just Swing, and LiViD.
