Report: Singularity to sign New Identity, round out ESL Pro League team list
The sixteenth and final ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas spot will be taken by Singularity, as has been revealed by the league's website. Also present on the website are ATK, with the South African organization confirming a report from Dust2.us yesterday.
Not on the aforementioned website, however, is the roster that Singularity will field, with multiple sources informing Dust2.us that the organization are set to pick up MDL side New Identity. The team would join ATK, Liquid, and Renegades in Group C.
As such, the finalized groups for ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas would be as follows:
Group A | Group B |
Envy | Cloud9 |
FURIA | Complexity |
MIBR | eUnited |
Swole Patrol | Evil Geniuses |
Group C | Group D |
ATK | DETONA |
Liquid | Infinity |
Renegades | Isurus |
Singularity | Sharks |
New Identity are currently at the top of the table for MDL Season 32 with a perfect 5-0 record, and feature the former eUnited trio of Will "dazzLe" Loafman, Mike "dapr" Gulino, and Skyler "Relyks" Weaver.
Dust2.us also knows that the team have been utilizing former NRG coach Ian "Immi" Harding as coach, though it is not known if the Brit will make the journey to Burbank with the team.
The new Singularity roster is set to be:
- Sebastian "seb" Bucki
- Collin "wrath" McSweegan
- Will "dazzLe" Loafman
- Skyler "Relyks" Weaver
- Michael "dapr" Gulino
- Ian "Immi" Harding (Coach)
The Danish organization have had a turbulent month, starting with the departures of Ricky "floppy" Kemery and Josh "oSee" Ohm to ATK. Ryan "ryann" Welsh followed suit to Envy, leaving Singularity with only Cameron "cam" Kern and Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman from their previous roster.
For their part, the duo have been linked to a move to Chaos, along with Joshua "steel" Nissan and Gage "Infinite" Green. Will "RUSH" Wierzba was also linked to the roster, but has since joined Complexity.
Interestingly, that team are scheduled for an MDL match against Just Swing tomorrow, though it is not currently known what name they will be playing under.
