ex-Denial complete roster overhaul
David "Xp3" Garrido and ex-Denial decided on the formulation they will be using for the foreseeable future. Returning to the squad after his brief sojourn with NRG will be Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce, and he will be joined by new addition Jeff "REZU" Ngo. REZU last saw play with a structured team as part of Blight in ESEA MDL Season 25.
Xp3, RIKO, and REZU were all part of The Entourage mix that won NETGEAR Winter this past weekend.
In order to facilitate the changes, long-time member Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez, the second holdover from Winterfox, will be leaving the starting roster in order to coach the team.
ex-Denial's roster is now:
- David "Xp3" Garrido
- Tyler "tweiss" Weiss
- Ian "Tex" Botsch
- Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
- Jeff "REZU" Ngo
- Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez (Coach)
Left out in the cold as a result of the shuffle is Cameron "Hydrex" Kern, which RIKO addressed when approached for comment by Dust2.us:
When I got released from NRG after my trial period, Xp3 approached me and asked if I wanted to come back to the lineup. We practiced a little bit and saw an image that would help the team grow faster and be better than what we've had in the past.
Hydrex is good but not what we needed to take the team towards the direction Xp3 and I want. We picked up REZU to fit the role we were looking for to make us more dynamic.
Having flowsicK go to coach role is going to help us a lot, with the amount of experience flowsicK has under his belt. We are actively looking and talking to orgs right now to get what's best for the team and the future.
ex-Denial will now look towards ESEA MDL Season 27, where Xp3 and RIKO will hope to improve from a Season 26 campaign that was rife with roster changes, and saw the team finish 7-9 — the worst result for Xp3 since being unceremoniously cast down from ESL Pro League after Winterfox dropped his team. Dust2.us has also learned that the team plans to partake in the Legend Series qualifier this weekend.
